ABOUT US
The Vaughan Italian Cultural Association (VICA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to celebrating and preserving the rich heritage of one of Canada’s largest Italian communities, proudly rooted in the city of Vaughan.
We are bridging generations—honoring the traditions of our ancestors while inspiring the next. Through cultural initiatives, community events, and artistic showcases, we aim to strengthen our identity, foster meaningful connections, and highlight the incredible contributions of Italian culture in Vaughan.

While the Greater Toronto Area is known for its vibrant cultural festivals, Vaughan has yet to receive the recognition it deserves. VICA is committed to changing that—bringing Vaughan to the forefront as a hub for Italian heritage, starting in 2025 and continuing for years to come.
By uniting past and present, we ensure that Italian traditions, values, and talent continue to thrive within our community.
Our Mission
Our mission is to foster appreciation and understanding Italian Culture through history, art, music, and cuisine, emphasizing the importance of maintaining our heritage, ensuring that traditions are passed down, through vibrant events, engaging activities and authentic experiences. The events will provide a space for locals to appreciate their roots, build lasting connecttions, and pass their cultural legacy on to future generations.

Gino Rosati
Honourary Chair
Gino Rosati has lived in Vaughan for more than 35 years during which he has served at the heart of the community as a Bank Manager as well as participating in many local groups and charitable organizations. Gino’s elected appointments include six years as school board trustee, many years as Ward 2 (Woodbridge) Local Councillor and is currently Local and Regional Councillor.
Gino Rosati initiated the process to pursue a hospital for Vaughan many years ago, which came to completion in February 2021.
